NAI has taken the task of evolving an Electronic Register  of Jain Manuscripts which integrates information pertaining to different aspects of manuscriptology such as title,othertitle, author, custodial insittution, material, script, language, subjects, number of pages, folios, beginning line, ending line, illustrations, catalogue detail etc.

                  National Informatics Center (NIC) has been entrusted the task of developing of the software for storing the catalogue in machine readable forms. The software has been developed using MS Access as the data base, VB-6.0 as the front end tool with GIST Controls on the Windows platform. The software so developed facilitates storing information in different Indian scripts / languages vis-s-vis providing retrieval mechanism of catalogue information in Indian languages. It facilitates web based access of catalogue.
